Northrop Grumman?is currently seeking an experienced?Production Operator (Autoclave Operator) for our Large StructuresCenter of Excellence facility in Iuka Mississippi.

Production Operator with the primary assignment of AUTOCLAVE operation in advanced composites manufacturing facility


  • Work safely within team environment

  • Operation of computer-controlled autoclaves

  • Preparations of large tools, moving and loading tools, connection of all monitoring devices including vacuum, pressure, and thermocouples

  • Monitoring all instruments, switches, gauges; reacts to all alarm signals with appropriate actions

  • Ability to understand and interpret complex data sets and graphical views

  • Ability to react to alarm signals and take appropriate actions based on demonstrated problem solving skills and written procedures

  • Operation of cranes, forklifts, and tow tractors

  • Responsible for maintaining personal and TEAM safety, product quality, statistical process controls, production schedules, Lean Manufacturing Systems, and working cell budgets within a fast paced and changing environment

Requirements & Qualifications:


  • High School or GED required (education will be verified)

  • 3 - 5 years of manufacturing experience and/or specialized education past HS

  • High self-confidence working with complex and high value products and equipment


Technical/Performance Skills


  • Demonstrates operating discipline in manufacturing environment, including maintaining a positive attitude toward operational safety, product quality, product schedule, and product cost

  • Able to read and interpret written procedures and specifications and perform the functions as specified by the procedure

  • Able to work in a standing position for extended time periods; also able to stay focused sitting at a machine control terminal desks for extended periods

  • Demonstrates good mechanical aptitudes and ability to perform work in close tolerance situations

  • Understands basic math skills and ability to read and use various calibrated measuring instruments, accurately

  • Demonstrates positive attitude toward operational safety, product quality, product schedule, and product cost

  • Must be self-motivated and able to work in team environment

  • Ability to understand and work with knowledge of Lean Manufacturing Principles and disciplines

  • Ability to work well in a hand-crafted product environment

Preferred Skills:


  • Polymer Matrix Composite experience and/or certification preferred

  • Previous composite, manufacturing, or production experience preferred

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster.
