Northrop Grumman?is currently seeking entry level Production Operators for our Large Structures Center of Excellence facility in Iuka Mississippi.

Technical/Performance Skills


  • Demonstrates operating discipline in manufacturing environment

  • Able to read and interpret written procedures and perform the functions as specified by the procedure

  • Able to work in a standing position for extended time periods.

  • Demonstrates good mechanical aptitudes and ability to perform work in close tolerance situations

  • Understands basic math skills and ability to read and use various calibrated measuring instruments, accurately.

  • Demonstrates positive attitude toward operational safety, product quality, product schedule, and product cost.

  • Must be self-motivated and able to work in team environment.

  • Ability to understand and work with knowledge of Lean mfg. Principles and disciplines

  • Ability to work well in hand crafted product environment.

Position Functions/Responsibilities?

  • Follows procedures precisely to achieve close tolerance results

  • Manufacturing of large aerospace composite structures

  • Operates hand tools including drills, routers, and saws in high precision manufacturing processes

  • Some processes include computer interface controls and light-duty bench or floor type machine tools

  • Set up machining fixtures and jigs; make adjustments; perform maintenance on machines

  • Operates cranes, forklifts, and tow tractors to move large products through factory

  • Checks work using prescribed gauges, jigs and fixtures to measure close tolerances.

  • Responsible for maintaining:?


    • Personal/TEAM safety

    • statistical process controls

    • production schedules

    • Lean Manufacturing Systems

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
